Nathan Rauh is a proud graduate of the University of Kansas, School of Architecture and Urban Design, and an avid basketball fan. So we chose to name the company after James Naismith, inventor of the game of basketball and Phog Allen, legendary KU coach and for whom the famous Allen Field house is named. We believe in the name does what we need it to - sound appealing and professional, has ties to our roots in the business, and is just lighthearted enough to share our good humor.
